Caving sport is performed in two types of cavern as vertical and horizontal.

To enter into the horizontal caverns, it is enough to know how to use the lighting equipments. The most preferable lighting equipments on using in the caverns are the `Carbide Lamps`. The Carbide Lamps work through the burning of the acetylene , which react with the controlled drippingwater on to the carbide stone.The flame of the acetylene gas illuminates widely a big area. A single fill of the carbide illuminates around 6 hours.

To enter into the vertical caverns is required to learn the SRT which called Single Rope Techniques , which enables to fluctuate on the rope.

The security comes above all.In that reason the ropes ,which weight more than one tone , are fixed with the special nails, called bolts and with the special rings , called carabines on to the marble surface of the caverns.

Helmets are kind of life-saver , which protect the head and dents from the falling stones and to hit to the ceiling and the walls.Because of the darkness in the caverns , the lightning is very important.Each potholer has to carry at least two , preferably three light sources and one of them should be fixed on to the helmet , which allow the hands free during climbing and crawling.By this simple light source should be carried also a flash light, matches and candles as alternative light sources. Generally carbide lamps are preferred in caverns.

The potholers prefer to wear generally kind of siren suits , which insulate the body temperature better and prevent the openings on waist in different conditions.

The boots and the buskins should be preferred in the caverns, which were designed as waterproof and hard soled to prevent to sliding , surrounded the ankles together to provide the airing of the foot.
